About Fiscora

1. Who builds Fiscora

Fiscora is built and run by Shahzeb Jan Gondal, a web developer based in Pakistan with more than seven years of experience building websites and online stores.

He is the founder of Avora Digital, a studio that builds Shopify stores, custom websites and web apps. Fiscora is designed, written and maintained by him.

2. Why Fiscora exists

Most free finance tools are built for one country. Fiscora is built for small businesses and families in Pakistan, the Gulf and beyond, with the things they actually deal with:

  • cash-on-delivery stores, where returns, courier charges and confirmation calls decide the real profit;
  • zakat with live gold and silver prices and a choice of silver or gold nisab;
  • gold bought by gram or tola, with karat, making charges and VAT presets for the Gulf, Pakistan and India;
  • currencies with three decimals, such as the Kuwaiti dinar, and with none, such as the Japanese yen.

Every calculator is free, needs no account and runs in your browser. What you type is not sent or stored.

3. How the calculations are checked

  • Formulas are shown. Every calculator page has a "How this is calculated" section with the exact formulas and a worked example.
  • Numbers come from code, never from guesswork. The maths lives in small, separate modules that are checked by more than 150 automated tests (published figures, edge cases and thousands of random cases) before every release.
  • Money is rounded the way your currency is. Two decimals for most currencies, three for the Kuwaiti dinar, Bahraini dinar and Omani rial, none for the yen.
  • Dates are shown. Each calculator shows when it was last checked; tax presets show the date the rates were last checked.

4. Where the live data comes from

  • Gold and silver prices: gold-api.com, international spot prices in US dollars, refreshed every minute while the page is open. Shops charge their own premium, so you can type your local price instead.
  • Exchange rates: Frankfurter, reference rates published by central banks. They can be hours or days behind the market, and banks add a margin.
  • Tax presets (gold calculator): read from public sources and dated on the page. They are a starting point, not tax advice: check your receipt and change the rate if it differs.
  • Zakat nisab: the commonly used 612.36 g of silver and 87.48 g of gold. Scholars and schools differ, so both weights can be changed.

If a live feed is not available, Fiscora does not guess: it asks you to type the price.

5. What Fiscora is not

Fiscora gives estimates for planning. It is not financial, tax, legal or religious advice. For zakat, please confirm the details with a scholar you trust. For tax, check with an accountant or your tax authority.
